Nails ~ Turquoise Gradient

Sooo yesterday I was looking through my polishes.. and I realized I have a lot of this kind of colour:

Revlon Minted, Essie Mint Candy Apple, Essie Turquoise & Caicos, Essie Where's My Chauffeur, Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint, China Glaze For Audrey, Sephora by OPI Ocean Love Potion, Sally Hansen Insta-dri Mint Sprint

Minty-torquoise-y colour? I actually really like this kind of colour, but I haven't worn it in so long cuz I know how badly it stains my nails.
Still, I decided to do a fun gradient with these and here's how it turned out!

I quite like it xD Although there's not a huge difference between my index, middle and ring fingers, I still think it looks good.

So here's what I used: I started off with this Sally Hansen Maximum Growth base coat because I've had it for a whole and it's like half gone. I thought I'd just use it again. Then I decided to paint some of this nude colour as a base first, so hopefully the turquoise doesn't stain my nails too badly (Wet n Wild megalast in 2% milk) and I topped my nails off with Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat.

Here are the different shades of turquoise I used:

Essie Mint Candy Apple, Wet n Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint, China Glaze For Audrey, Essie Where's My Chauffeur and Sephora by OPI Ocean Love Potion.

I wonder if I have this many shades of other colours in my polish collection? Maybe I'll do the same thing with a different colour next time :P It was fun and I think it turned out quite nicely.
What do you think?

Random past nail art + future hair care purchases (maybe?)

Hello!
Thought I'd post tonight since I'm pretty darn bored, and thought I'd share what's on my nails now... Which led me to unloading pictures from my phone, which led to me unloading a lot of pics of past nail art. I always wanted to do a post dedicated to those nail designs I have on my phone, but didn't take nice pictures of with the big cam. Well, here they are!

Err... almost. A few notes before we begin.. :p
This post is a little photo-heavier than my usual posts.. juss sayin'
I apologize for crappy picture quality in advance... it was a really big switch from a 3GS to a 5... xD
I might not remember every polish I've used for these nail designs, so don't blame me if I can't name them all...

Alrighty, here we go!

OPI Dulce de Leche w/ some random off brand from night market one on top + nail stickers
The first ever time I tried a gradient!! It turned out pretty messy, lol. And I decided it was a good idea to take a pic before I cleaned up around the nails... yeah...

Essie e-nuf is e-nuf w/ glitter polishes... all off brands
Woo! Super glitter! Second time doing gradient.. I used like a million glitter polishes, lol

Essie Jamaica me crazy, Sinful Colors Frenzy, off brand Korean glitter
Guess I was really diggin' the gradients.. hahaha

Pretty sure this was Essie Jamaica me crazy again... + OPI Servin' Up Sparkle + other off brand sparkle/glitter polishes

OPI Pearl of Wisdom, OPI Last Friday Night + prob more random other sparkle polishes...
 Surprise, surprise! Another gradient hahahahaha

OPI Cuckoo for this Color + random metallic one from Daiso + loose glitter
Sorry, bad picture... but it's the only one I have! xD

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Raisin' the Bar + glitter PAINFULLY EXTRACTED from OPI Servin' Up Sparkle LOL
This one's really pretty :3 but it was hella tedious to do. This was around the time I started experimenting on/trying out more drugstore polishes... found out there really isn't much of a quality-difference between brands like OPI, Essie and some cheaper drugstore brands..

Rimmel Hard Metal + dotting tool + Revlon Silver Dollar
OPI Chapel of Love
Yup... this is just a swatch on the nails, I guess lol. Love the colour.

China Glaze For Audrey (my first and STILL my only CG polish) + lose glitter + rhinestone

My take on the "cloud" nail trend.. a yearish ago :) Joe Fresh Hula, Essie To Buy or Not to Buy, Jessica Bikini Blue
I'm quite fond of this cloud design too...  I've said to myself that I'd do it again some time... but I still haven't... maybe this summer, lol.

Essie To Buy or Not to Buy + lose glitter, individually placed
This is probably when I started my blog last year... hahaha anyway... next~

Sinful Colors You Just Wait + Essie Eternal Optimist + Essie Beyond Cozy
My nails from a few weeks ago.. forgot (too lazy..) to take pics of... but I got them on my phone lol so yay! I quite like the design, but the base colour looked soooo weird to me.. that's what inspired the design btw lol I couldn't stand how weird that one colour looked on my nails...

Finally... we have this picture of what's on my nails now :)

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Blazed
This colour looked a lot more... rosey pink in the bottle. On the nails, it's actually quite bright and eye catching. I'm falling in love with these brighter polishes all over again :)

Moving on...
I also wanted to talk about some hair products I've been scoping out recently.

1) Jason Tea Tree Shampoo+conditioner - spotted at London Drugs

I have problems with an itchy scalp.. and after trying Pantene, Dove and Organix, I finally went for the Head and Shoulders. It did a great job controlling the itch on my scalp.. but I could feel it drying out my hair soooo bad. I decided to try the Live Clean Fresh Water line. I decided on it cuz I heard that parabens & all that bad stuff in shampoos can irritate sensitive scalps.. so I thought the paraben & whatever whatever-free Live Clean brand would help. The first time I tried it, it felt pretty good, and the itch didn't come back. But after a few more washes, that itchy scalp was returning. After I finish the bottles of Live Clean I have right now, I'm pretty sure I'll try this Jason line. Hopefully it works...

2) Macadamia deep repair masque - also spotted at London Drugs.. on a diff day

I've heard sooooo much about this masque, but I've only seen it in person twice. Once at Shoppers' and it was in a big tub selling for $32. I felt way too cheap that day to drop 30+ on a hair mask, so I passed on it. I returned maybe a few days later, and all of them were sold out. Of course. It's a popular product. I've heard so many YouTubers recommend it, so I really wanna try this for myself. My hair is always a frizzy, hay-like mess.. ESPECIALLY after I shower and I let it air dry... It's not much better if I blow dry it.. unless I use a comb and legit straighten it with the blow drier.. ANYWHO. It's the first time I've seen this mask in a smaller tube, and it's only $15ish. Maybe if I see this again, I'll pick it up. If I'm not feeling like a total cheapo lol. It's better than paying 30+ for a product that I may or may not like.

*phew* that's it for now! Til next time :)

Nails ~ Metallic Pink & Sparkles

Wuddup wuddup!!! Hahahha... I've taken a break from nail polish for a while.. I was too lazy and I just wanted to give my nails a break >.< But once I decided to do this mani, I realized how much I missed nail polish DD: I really like how my nails look when they're painted LOL even when my nails are a bit shorter ^o^ ...or maybe I just hate how nasty my bare nails look = = Ugh. So disgusting.
ANYWAY
Ummm what else what elseee~
Oh. Ummmm well as usual.. it's been a while since I've done this mani.. It's been a good 5ish days? Almost a week I believe.. And I was just too lazy to take pictures of it during the first few days when my nails hadn't grown out so much yet LOL Sorry.. Well at least I did it :x!!
Ohoh and also, sorry for the crooked/semi-unfocused picture.. I usually take pictures of them myself, but it's just too hard and time consuming to set up the whole thing to photograph both my hands.. and for this mani I wanted to show both hands.. So I got my lil bro to photograph em for me. It took him SOOO many times to get it focused... (it's focused enough, k -_-) I have no idea why! I mean he already knows how to use my camera :c Sigh. Oh well. I can't complain since I'm asking him to do a favor for me lol.

I'm actually pretty in love with this mani... I LOVE how the sparkly polish looks against the dark red one.. and I was just experimenting but it turned out to be such a perfect match.
I can't seem to capture just how nice it looks on camera though.. I blame the lighting in my room. It washes everything out :/ I had to PS these pics to sorta give the picture some REAL colour. But I do think the base colour (Revlon Colorstay in Enrapture) is a lot darker than in this picture though... Keep in mind the picture was taken with indoor lighting+flash + I PS'd it so the colour would show up better.

Sally Hansen Maximum Growth, Revlon Colorstay Brilliant Strength in Enrapture, Wet n Wild Megalast in Under My Spell, Revlon in Sparkling, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri (aaaaand these little nail deco sparkles that I loooove)
Oh~ I took a picture with my phone and Instagram'd it during the.. second day? I think... :p
So here's another look at them :p They're a lot fresher in this pic loool
Pretty sure this one's taken w/ natural lighting..

If you're interested, my Instagram is josephinesoo (I know, so surprising+creative right? xD) Check it out/follow me if you want. Thanks!

Anyway that's all for now :D Upcoming is another recent purchases post... ^^

Just a few purchases~

Ah yeah.. I haven't been shopping A LOT these days.. unlike my crazy summer shopping.. hahaha.. but I did pick up a few things recently and just wanted to share c:
I picked up all these polishes from Walmart.. a week ago? Maybe even more than a week ago.. x__x
My nails are naked and gross right now.. so I don't really feel like painting them.. but that doesn't stop me from buying polish! Lol especially when it's cheap.. which it always is at Walmart... Darn you Walmart... you make me crazy T.T

Anyway~ Here are the colours I got
Wet n Wild megalast in 2% Milk, Haze of Love, Under Your Spell & Disturbia ($2.97/each)-- Revlon Colorstay in Stormy Night (I can't rmb the price and I threw away the receipt.. but it was around $5)

Besides the nude... all the colours are pretty fall appropriate, right? xD I love Under Your Spell.. I haven't worn any of these yet.. but I'm really excited to try the darker colours.. I don't have colours like these and when I'm feeling not as lazy.. I'll definitely try some of these out :p

The second and last thing (..lol) that I got is this top! It's so cute right?! I got it for like $20 on Thursday cuz it was on sale :D I freaking love the Bay.. hahaha ^^ It is sheer, so I'll have to wear a tank under.. (which btw I bought like 3 tanks from H&M on Thursday.. but they're not interesting so I didn't take pics of them lol)

Vero Moda Navy Blue Sheer Blouse - $19.59, The Bay

I love the cute beading detail on the collar ^^ Suuuper cute! I think this is my first chiffon-y sheer top... But seriously, I have GOT to stop buying navy blue clothes... particularly tops.. I HAVE SO MANY... but I can't help it... for some reason I just seem to bump into them.. and they just happen to be on sale... so I just buy it ;o; SIGH~

OOOH and here's one more thing I want to share ^^

It's my candle collection!!! Man.. I've only started buying candles like.. two months ago? But I've already got this many... It's an addiction alright... But the coupons they give you at Bath and Body Works SERIOUSLY gets you going back there soooo often... I know I'm gonna be back there to buy more soon.. cuz they have their 2/$25 sale going on for the 3-wick candles.. PLUS I have coupons that give me $10 off when I purchase $30 or more worth of stuff.. so it's sooooo worth it xD

Well, that's all c: I have a pretty packed weekend (for my standards...>.>) coming up ahead.. maybe I'll be able to pick up more stuff when we go downtown tomorrow haha c:
Bye~

Nails ~ Purple Chevron & Royal Blue+Black

Just some nails from the past few weeks.

I decided to try out the whole Chevron nail trend. Too lazy to do it on all of my fingers lol.

 I used Wet n Wild's On a Trip and Revlon's Silver Dollar.

Here's what's on my nails now :D I love love love this royal blue colour. I bought this polish a while ago, but I'm finally wearing it ^^ I got it at Shoppers.. It was buy one get one free, $3 each :D

I used Sally Hansen's Blue It and Sinful Color's Secret Admirer. I topped it off with some of these sparkly things :p
That's all c:

Long Time No See!!! Recent Buys c:

Wow I've been really lazy with this for a long time.. lol
I was gonna post on my birthday, but I ended up not doing it heh I'm so lazy...
Here's a pic of my cake xD It was so yummy... I wish I had some more right now ;__; Sigh

Anyway~ I haven't been shopping a lot these days.. since school has started and what not.. but I have picked up a couple of things since my last post.

A few weeks ago I got this scarf from H&M cuz it was only $5! Couldn't resist.. I liked it the first time I saw it, but I wasn't about to pay 15 for it lol.

White Pleated Scarf - H&M, $5 (sale)
I also got this infinity scarf (my very first!! ^^) yesterday. I know I'll make great use out of this in the upcoming fall and autumn :D
Black Infinity Scarf - H&M, $14.95
I really wanted to pick one up before they were all sold out >.< Oh well, 15 isn't too bad anyway :p

Oooooh oh yeah! One of the most exciting things... My first online purchase! :p

I got a clutch from Hautelook. The brand is Miztique. I've never heard of it, but the clutch looked so pretty online.. and I don't have any clutches xD It's just nice to have if I ever have anything formal to go to.. Instead of having to carry a bag :D
My little brother got a pair of Creative Recs, so I thought it'd be ok to buy the clutch too, since we'd be paying the shipping fee for two items instead of one ^^

Black Envelope Clutch w/ Gold Turnlock - Miztique on Hautelook, $24
It comes with a detachable chain ^^

Here's some polishes that I purchased recently... I haven't gone too crazy haha... That's my first black polish (even tho it has sparkles.. keke)

Sally Hansen Gunmetal ($2.77), Sinful Colors Secret Admirer ($3.99), Wet n Wild Bite the Bullet & I Need a Refresh-Mint ($2.84/each)
Sinful Colors from London Drugs and the other 3 from Walmart.

I finally bought some scented candles!!! ^^ These smaller ones were 3/$12 from Bath & Body Works... Cindy bought one too and I only wanted 2.. so it worked out :D

The Caribbean Escape smells sooo gooood~ So fruity and sweet c: It's really summery, though... Oh well I'll still burn it xD The Warm Vanilla Sugar one smells good too.. It makes my room smell so cozy.. I don't know xD I'm just glad they both smell so good haha.. But now I feel like I should go buy the bigger ones... Maybe in a bit lol

I also got this cute candle holder also from Bath & Body Works. It was $6.50 c: It's so cute! I wanna get the bigger one with snowflakes on it for Christmas/winter time ^^

Phew.. we're nearing the end >.< Here's the albums I've bought recently ^^
GD's One of a Kind, B2st's Midnight Sun Gold Version and BTOB's Press Play :d

That's all for now! More posts to come c:

Nails ~ Orangey Red

Same location but different lighting.
Polka dots! Wet n Wild Megalast Club Havana and the light orange is nameless. This is either 4 or 5 layers, I lay on polish like there's no tomorrow.. (These pictures were taken about a week after I did them).

These lasted about 2 weeks before they chipped.. Of course, that's cuz I piled on like 4 or 5 layers of top coat (first 2 are always Seche Vite, but it's too expensive to use so much of that, so for the layers on top, I use Revlon's top coat from their regular line). I usually do my nails once every week or so, but I was busy last week so I just left them on for another week.
Wet n Wild's Club Havana & this random one I got from the night market a year ago.
I used Essie's ridge filling base coat cuz that's all I have atm before putting on Club Havana. I really like this colour! I always feel weird now leaving my nails only one colour, so I decided to dab some polka dots on with the light orange. The ring finger is accented with more polka dots. Anyway, a few people said it looks orange, but some said it's red... In the bottle it looks pretty orange, but I would say it looks more red on your nails than in the bottle. It's a really bright, awesome summer colour... (too bad the weather still sucks here). The formula's pretty good, especially since it's such a cheap polish.. I got it at Walmart for like... under $3 I think. All in all, it's a good polish.
