Recent Purchases ~ Clothes, Accessories, Shoes & K-Pop!

Hi hi!!~
So here is a compilation of some stuff I've purchased over the past few weeks :3
First off is this dark denim jacket I found at Forever 21. It has black lace detailing on the back, which I thought was really pretty ><

Forever 21 Dark denim jacket w/ black lace detail, $18.99 (sale!)
Here's the back...
and a close up of the lace on the back :P
This jacket is pretty oversized.. so it's definitely not fitted. It's a size M and it's still pretty big on me (especially in the shoulder area) but I think it looks really cute with the sleeves rolled up. I think this will be a really great piece to just throw on when the weather gets a bit warmer.. I'll be able to wear this like I wear blazers as outerwear during the Spring/early Summer/early Fall. I was just browsing through the sale rack at the Forever 21 at Richmond Centre after class last week and stumbled upon this. It's at a really good price point too, so I decided to just pick it up.

Here's the second piece I found on the sale racks at F21 on the same day.

Forever 21 Black sweater w/ silver spike detailing, $22.99 (sale!)
Here's a close up of the spikes :)
This sweater is so badass! xD I've wanted a sweater or cardi like this for a while, and I just decided to purchase this one from F21 since it was on sale and it fit nicely. The large was way too long and big, so I opted for a medium, which fits pretty well, but is still baggy on top - which I like cuz it's comfortable and flattering.

Next up is this necklace I found at H&M :)

H&M rose gold necklace, $12.95
I actually got 10% off this since H&M was doing an offer for 10% for students and teachers with a student ID card. It's really pretty and not too much of a statement, so I decided to pick it up. Sadly, I think necklaces are such a bother to wear most of the time, so I usually don't wear them. This one looks really nice with collared shirts though, so I'll definitely make sure to wear it >_<

Next up are these shoes that I've eyed for a really long time... I always said I would eventually get myself a pair since I just ended up trying them on at PC once a long time ago.

Sam Edelman Felicia in black leather, $125, The Bay
After observing The Bay for a few seasons, I realized that these shoes are like an essential that NEVER go on sale. So I took advantage of this 20% off almost everything coupon that my dad got in the mail for The Bay to buy these :P
Originally they're $125 (I've seen them at Town Shoes for the same price, but again, I've never seen them go on sale), which is way too much in my opinion for these shoes, but I got them for a little over $100. Of course, after tax, they come up to a little below the original price, but any discount is a good one for items like these!
Sadly, though, I thought the coupon was a one-time-use, so I only used it to take these shoes home :( Even though I looked around, I couldn't find anything else that I felt like getting, so I didn't end up getting anything else. It sucks though cuz earlier that weekend, when the coupon was valid, I also roamed around 2 different Bays after class :( I could have gotten even more stuff! -sigh- Oh well. What can I do now besides enjoy these awesome shoes?

BTW, these are the Sam Edelman Felicias in the black (authentic) leather. The sole is also man made, according to The Bay's website.
They're SUPER comfortable, which is why I really wanted to invest in them in the first place, but I have to say I haven't worn them out yet, so I'm not sure about how they really feel. So far I'm really loving them, though, and I'm sure that even if they do give me a bit of discomfort at first, they'll break in nicely and be really comfortable.

Alrighty! Lastly are these two CDs that I received in the mail a while ago.
I said in a previous post that I'd definitely buy the physical copies for these two albums, and I did! :P
Again, I purchased these from YesAsia.

I'm sad that the B.A.P album came in a little damaged on the top right hand corner :( and a little in other places... but oh well. It's not enough for me to go through the trouble of complaining to YesAsia and requesting another one and yada yada.

If you're interested...
B.A.P's First Sensibility available here.
BTOB's Beep Beep available here.

Alrighty! That's all for now. Wow, that's one long post. I haven't really done a long one in a while, but it feels pretty nice that I actually have stuff to blog about.
Ok see you next time! :)

Nails ~ Christmas Sweater Design!! + New Shoes :D

Hello hello! I'm back again with Christmas nails! I had soooo much fun with these. Can't wait to do my next Christmas mani xD gotta get in a few more before Christmas passes!

Yeah... I took so many pictures and I couldn't choose... so I just posted a bunch. I clearly had too much fun with thes nails, haha.

And here's a rare look at the right hand!
I have to say, I did a pretty damn good job with these considering I had to draw with my left - aka non-dominant - hand. Don't you agree? ^__^

Here's a closer look at all my fingers, haha.

Here's what I used. I used these two polishes for the third Christmas in a row.. haha. I guess they were a good investment? xD

Essie jag-u-are, Sinful Colors San Fransisco, Sally Hansen nail art pen in Pearly White (I didn't know this was pearly when I bought it... I wish it was just a normal white one.. but I work with it haha)

Aside from my awesome nails, I also got two new pairs of booties recently.
Remember the Arturo Chiang Averly booties I bought last year? Yeah they crapped out on me, and it hasn't even been a year since I purchased them! The sole on the right foot basically cracked in half, cuz the way the designed it isn't that great... Water leaks into the shoe :( sigh~
I don't know if it's because the quality just wasn't as a good as I expected... or it's just that everything I own/use seems to break so much faster, lol. Maybe I'm just a rough person....? lmao. But seriously the original price of those were like ~$150? Even though I didn't buy it for that price, I still expected better quality...

Anyway I ended up buying these Expression booties (yeah, they basically look exactly like the Averly booties, but just a little shorter haha. I think the heel is a little taller too maybe? I'm not too sure) from The Bay not too long ago, since I needed some boots to wear when it's raining/snowing. The Bay had a one day sale, 50% off all boots, and I decided to go and try to find a pair. These are originally $79, but I got them for half price. They're pretty comfortable, and the material is shinier than the Averlys. But I'm not sure about the quality; I took a look at the sole, and it's one piece, unlike the Averlys, so I decided for less than $50, I'd give them a go. Oh I don't think they're real leather like the Averlys though, that's one difference.
I walked a whole day in them (the day I went to three malls, lol) and they were really comfortable for the first few hours, but later, some parts of my feet started hurting. Not bad for the first day. For now I'd say these were worth it.
I need to go see a cobbler to see how much it would cost to repair the Averlys, but these Expression booties are good for now. Btw they're on sale right now! :D
Expression Gladiolus Western Bootie available here.

Today I went on another ~adventure~ to Richmond, and I found another pair of booties! I dunno why but Arturo Chiang's designs are really my taste, lol.

Arturo Chiang Sprinkle available here.
Btw isn't that just an adorable name? Sprinkle. Haha.. I don't think it necessarily matches the shoe, but it's so cute lmao.

So there's a pretty funny story behind these shoes. I went downtown last Tuesday and I saw these shoes and tried them on cuz they had a size 9 out for display. I FELL IN LOVE. I've been wanting a bootie with a bit of a heel for a few months now, and I kept my eye on these shoes. Actually the first time I saw them was at Metro a month? if not a few weeks ago, and I noted them to myself in my head.
Anyway I was just casually waiting for them to go on sale. Then last Thursday, I saw the email about the one day event - 50% off all boots - at the Bay in my email, so I decided to go to try and hunt them down. First I tried the Bay at Oakridge, but I couldn't find them. Then I went downtown. When I reached the Bay at PC, it was NUTS. There were piles of shoes everywhere and it was just... it was so crazy. I couldn't find this boot so I asked an employee there and she said they sold out of it :(
So I decided to try the Bay at Lougheed, I hopped on the skytrain and went all the way to Burnaby, lol. That was fun, especially when it was freezing cold that day....>_> Of course I couldn't find them at Lougheed, so I headed to Metro, since that's usually how I get home from Lougheed/Bby mountain campus anyway.
So of course, I couldn't find them at Metro either... I found a brown pair in the same style.. but I really didn't like how they looked on my feet. So I decided to give up, and told myself it's just not meant to be~
THEN~ today I went to Richmond Centre to return the William Rast sweater from my last post, I decided to check out the shoes there since I was there already. I was just browsing around, and I saw this bootie! The one on display was a size 10 though, but I thought I'd just ask if they had a 9 just in case... even though apparently it's a really popular shoe. So I ask... and they couldn't find it in the backroom.
The lady working there told me they just implemented a new system where they can see if they have the shoe in stock at any other Bay, or you could place an order and they could just ship them directly to your house. Seriously, it's about time they had a system like this =_=. Anyway the lady said I could just order them and get them shipped to my house... but of course that didn't work out.... So they looked the shoe up in a 9 to see if any other Bay had them in stock. Apparently they had a pair, but the lady said it was so crazy from that one day sale that someone probably just bought the shoes without the box, and the box has the code. She also said Metro and Guildford both have a pair in stock (at least according to the computer system). So I just said thank you and I was just about to give up :( I was thinking "this just isn't meant to be....." then I was just about to leave but I decided to go back and ask one of the ladies working there if they could call Metro and check if they have it or not. She tried calling but they didn't pick up.
Just then, I looked at the shelf full of UGGs right near the cashier counter, and there's the bootie I was looking for (the Arturo Chiang Sprinkle) and I decided to go and pick up that boot. So I pick it up... and guess what? It was a size 9!! I brought it to the lady and said... "hey, this is a 9". And she was like 0__0 Cuz the computer said they had a pair in stock at RC, in a 9, but they couldn't find it in the back. So at that point I had ONE shoe. I needed to find the other. So the lady and I go around the shoe section looking for that other foot, and we couldn't find it, so she looked in their store room. Of course they didn't find it...
So the lady decided to try and get me to try other similar booties they had in stock... and just when the lady was leading me to another bootie... she looked on the sale racks, bent down, and picked up a black boot. I remember thinking "sigh of course that can't be it...." and she picked it up. AND IT WAS IT!!! It was the other foot!!! I finally found the complete pair of shoes xD And I was like OH MY GOD I can't believe none of us (two employees and me) saw it!! And I gave the lady a hug LOL cuz I was just so damn happy.
So yeah. Last pair. Size 9. And even though it was still $105 on sale.. I just bought them. I still have Bay giftcards anyway, so yeah I just bought them. IT'S FATE!!! -sigh- I am so happy. LOL what a long drawn out story... but yep. There's my "happy ending" for the day... LOL

SO YEAH. These are my new booties~ apparently they're back in stock online... I remember checking a couple times on the website and I couldn't find it. But it's not on sale on the website... like it was in the store, so I dunno what's up with that. Anyway I'm just so happy that I found them. They're finally mine!!!!!

Wow. Holy crap look at that block of text. Okay my fingers are tired. That's the end of my post for today~ Until next time~

Recent Purchases ~ Wallet + Polishes + Clothes + Shoes

Hello again blog world! :) I've been collecting a few things from here and there and I finally have time to make a post ^__^!

First off is my new wallet!
Kate Spade New York Cobble Hill Lacey Wallet in deep pink - $119 + 25% discount = $95.20
I bought this off gilt for a discounted price :D Also got a 25% discount... so yup, pretty awesome. I love the stripey pattern inside, it's such an adorable touch. Also pink is my favorite colour, so I don't think I'll ever get sick of this :)
It's too bad Cindy told me that the Kate Spade writing on the front rubs off :( I'll try my hardest to preserve it.. even though I just seem to wear out a lot of the stuff I own a lot quicker than other people.. Sigh.

Next up are some polishes...
Sephora by OPI Go My Own Way, Sephora, $6 & Essie Cute As a Button, Walmart, $7.96
I said I would probably go back and get the Cute As a Button next time on my previous post, right? Well I did go back to get it xD Yippeeeee~ And all Sephora by OPI polishes are half off ($6) right now, so I thought I'd pick one up too.

Went to RC with Cindy a few days ago and picked up this hi-lo navy maxi skirt from Plenty. They're having their spring/summer sale :D I have a feeling they'll lower prices more in a bit, so I'm definitely gonna go back to check a few times in the next few weeks.
Anyway I can't wait to wear this :) Now I still need to find a maxi dress....
Comme Toi Navy Hi-Lo Maxi Skirt, Plenty, $37.80 (sale)
I've been eying these shoes for about... probably over a month now, and the other day when I went to the Bay, they were having an additional 25% off their sale shoes, so I though I might as well pick them up! I've tried them on sooo many times.. probably like on 10 different occasions? LOL Well I'm not sure about that, but if that's true.... wow... geez I go to the mall a lot lol.
Franco Sarto Cicero Pumps in Black, The Bay, $74.99 (sale)
Sorry if the lighting for these pictures are sorta wonky. I was working with the yellow lighting downstairs and it never turns out well. I tried to fix them up in PS.. I tried.

Franco Sarto Cicero Pumps in Black, The Bay, $74.99 (sale)
That's all! I'll have a new nail post up real soon :)

"Recent" Purchases ~ Clothing + Shoes

Hello again! I'm back so soon :p
Yes, this is another "recent" purchases post lol.. some of the things I bought a few months ago, but a few of these things are actually recent xD So here we go!

Dex emerald short sleeve flowy chiffon top, $29.25 (sale, 25% off), The Bay

Dex navy blue 3/4 top w/ red stripes, $17.40 (sale), The Bay

Here are some more recent items :)

BDG distressed denim vest, $19.99 (sale), Urban Outfitters
I don't buy stuff from U.O much... mostly cuz I don't visit there much xD but I found some cute stuff last time I went with Cindy :) Loving this denim vest + the graphic tee below. Quick tidbit, the price tag on this vest said $39.99, but when the cashier rang it up, it was $19.99. Score!!

Society6 graphic tee, $9.99 (sale), Urban Outfitters
Finally are these shoes I just got today :D Picked them up on sale... sad thing is, I checked my email when I got home, and apparently The Bay is having an extra 20% off almost all merchandise this weekend... great timing right? :/
Anyway I got these in an 8.5, but they seem just a litttttle tight... I might go back and try on a 9 just to see if it's really THAT much bigger and then exchange them... we'll see :s

Nine West APPLAUD in Taupe Patent, $69.30 (sale), The Bay
Nine West APPLAUD in Taupe Patent, $69.30 (sale), The Bay
Sorry the colour on these last 2 pics is a lil weird... the light downstairs is really yellow so I had to try and fix the colour in ps.

Anywho that's all for now.. Think I'm gonna go paint my nails now, lol. :p
Ciao~

Quick Update ~ Recent Purchases

Hi :) I haven't been doing a lot of shopping... so there's nothing really to update about lol :x But here's just a few things I've bought over the last little while..

First are these booties! I finally, finally have a pair! After hunting for so damn long for a pair of short, flat booties with some sort of grip on the bottom, I just settled on these. They don't really have a great suitable-for-snow grip on the bottom, but they're good enough for me to wear on rainy/cold days ^^ I'm just so glad I finally have a pair of booties that I can just slide on :D Instead of having to lace up my black bootie wedges and/or zip up my tall boots, I can just wear these! So so so happy :) Plus they're flat so I won't be super crazy tall when I hang out with my friends LOL! I don't want to look like a super giant beside them all the time... :p
I got them at The Bay on super sale! I love the sales that go on after new years/the holidays are over... There's always some awesome deals cuz the shops are trying to clear out their inventory :D Anyway they were already on sale for ~$110, (they were originally $150 or $135 or something like that..) and then there was another 40% off of that price so they came to around ~$75 (after tax) :D

Arturo Chiang Averly, $65.69, The Bay (sale)
Arturo Chiang Averly, $65.69, The Bay (sale)
The pictures of the booties look a tad bit wonky cuz I took the pictures downstairs, where the lighting is super yellow, compared to super white like in my room, and I tried to fix the lighting a bit in ps, but they still don't look that great lol. Also if the boots look dirty.. I'm sorry I already wore them 3x xD I cleaned them off a bit before taking the pictures though.. so it's not that bad :p

Anyway I also bought a few polishes over the last little while.

Revlon Elegant, Heavenly, Whimsical & L.A. Colors Art Deco striper polish in a glittery silver colour
The two on the left were from Walmart. I forgot how much exactly I paid for them but they were around $4. I never buy Revlon unless they're under $4 lol :x Whimsical I got from Superstore cuz they lowered the prices or... they were having a sale, I'm not too sure lol. But it was under $4 too. The Art Deco striper is also from Superstore. It was under $2... I think it was $1.97 xD
I think Heavenly was part of a new collection Revlon just released... probably limited edition? It's just so pretty I couldn't pass on it :) It has little round glitters and little square glitters so I'm sure it'll be super pretty on top of a lot of colours.

That's all for now >.< Yeah, super tiny post I know... but I can't help it that I haven't been shopping much xD It's very good for me and my wallet :) Until next time I have stuff to post~ peace!

Recent Purchases

Yo whaddap! Here's another recent purchases post... not that many things but yeah xD
Picked up some nail stuff at Walmart last Thursday after my final :3 Things like this are just soooo much cheaper at Walmart... .__."

Sally Hansen nail art pen $6.97 and Essie nail set (Eternal Optimist & A Cut Above) $14.00. Both from Walmart
I wanted to get "Set in Stones" but the set it comes in comes with Turquoise& Caicos, which I already have... so I don't wanna pay for that = = I still want Shine of the Times too.. but I can't find it anywhere.. I shoulda just got them last year I'm such a genius lol.. o well whatevs..

I was at Lougheed anyway so I decided to take a look around the H&M there since I always seem to find good stuff at that location haha.. and I found this dress! I eyed it when it first arrived.. but originally it's like friggin $60, which I'm not gonna spend on a dress that I'm not aiming to wear for anything special, so I never tried it on. But I saw it on the sale rack for $30. It's size 14, and I'm usually anywhere between an 8 to 12, but I decided to try it on just for the hell of it.. and it fit! It's kinda those type of dresses that are constricting, so the 14 gave me comfy room to move around in.. SO I JUST PICKED IT UP~~ It totally sucks cuz I still had that coupon for $5 off.. but it expired THE DAY BEFORE I went and got the dress = = UGH How annoying. I wouldn't have gone the day before anyway since I needed the whole day to study... but whateverrrrr.... :/

Oxblood dress w/ embellished Peter Pan collar, $30, H&M
Oh and lastly, these are the shoes I ordered from Aldo a while ago. I freaking LOVE the colour! It's so bright and in your face hahahaha :D They're not suuuper comfy, but I don't forsee myself wearing them on days when I need to walk a lot, so it doesn't matter haha.

Aldo Khabou in royal blue, $38.49
Oh yeah and I wanted to add my Christmas nails from last year into this post cuz I haven't done Christmas nails this year haha :p

They kinda look watermelon-y haha but I still love how pretty they are... maybe I'll end up doing it this year too :p

Anyway that's all for now. Bye! ^^

Recent Purchases ~ Polishes + Shoes!

 Just some stuff I bought recently~ :D

Essie - Tart Deco, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Black Out & White On, Rimmel - English Rose
Can't wait to wear Tart Deco! It looks like such a creamy orangey colour.. sooo cute! I got it at Superstore the other day cuz they had coupons for $2 off their regular $9.99 price... I don't mind maybe 8ish for Essie too much so I just got it~
Aaaaand I've wanted just regular black and white polishes for a while so when I saw these at Walmart.. I figured why not? They're only $2.97 there anyway :x The Rimmel one is also from Walmart.. I think it was $4.97 or something like that.. I threw away the receipt so I can't check xD

Aside from polishes... I also got 2 pairs of sandals today!! So excited ^__^

Aldo Hembre in Ice - $27.99 (sale)
I love these! They're the ~casual~ ones :D They just look so pretty on ;~; I can't wait to wear them!!

Aldo Hankel in Cognac - $27.99 (sale)
These are the little more dressy ones... It has a 2-ish inch wedge, which makes it realllly comfy :D
Both pairs of sandals were the last sizes at the store! I was sooo lucky! For the Hembres, I got the last pair in the colour and style.. SOOOO LUCKY...

Anyway I'm done for now :p
