I'll start tomorrow!!! (I say like a true procrastinator...)
Ok back on track... so I just want to do a post about some songs I've really been enjoying recently ~o~
A few weeks ago, I felt like I was getting really bored of my music. There wasn't enough new selection to entertain me for my hour-long commutes to and from school (and between campuses.... -.-) but I'm glad that there was a lot of music released recently that I really like :P Not that all of these are gonna be new songs... but whatever. Let's just get into it!
Oh, these are in no particular order btw.
1. Exo - Baby Don't Cry
Man, I freaking love this song! It's definitely one of my favorite Exo songs. I'm so glad they got the chance to perform this live @ A Song for You :D I don't know what it is... maybe because it's so soulful? Oh and it's a great display of what the Exo members are capable of, vocally. Regardless of how good some of their songs are, though, I will never forget the nightmare that was "Wolf". I'm still in disbelief that they won tons of music show awards for that song.
Now I don't necessarily consider myself to be an Exo fan (or Exotic, if you please), but I do enjoy some of their music, and I do like them. While I have been watching their show, "Exo's Showtime", I don't think I'll ever be able to call myself a full-on Exo fan. Their fandom is just too crazy for me. And I still have this preconceived notion of what SM and their idols are like. My justification is that they already have so many fans who support them on such a big scale, it doesn't really matter if I'm not a full fledged fan. I don't think I'll ever buy their albums either, but I still like the members and the group.
If you're curious, my favorite members are Chanyeol, D.O. and Lay. :)
2. B1A4 - Lonely
Here's a newer release :) When this song came out, I wasn't too sure about it, but it's definitely one of those songs that sounds better the more you hear it. It's just so freaking catchy! Lonely lonely lonely~ lonely lonely lonely~
I've sorta had B1A4 on my radar since their debut. They were so cute during their "O.K" days! I'm glad they really made it big with this album, following Baro's appearance in "Reply 1994", which I enjoyed (yes... I watch a lot of dramas although I might not mention every single one I watch here...) and admist their whole sajaeji (or buy-back) scandal. I ordered this album for myself and I can't wait to get it!
B1A4's definitely found a style that's pretty much uniquely theirs, and as always, I give praise to idols who are involved in the production of their music. Jinyoung is one talented dude :)
Speaking of which, there a plenty of other songs from B1A4's newest album "Who Am I" that I really like as well.
3. B1A4 - 사랑 그땐 (feat. 하림) (When in Love feat. Harim)
I really love the nostalgic vibe of this song. When I first heard it, I thought "Jinyoung must've been inspired by the retro-craze that was brought about by Reply 1994". Not sure if that's really where the inspiration came from, but it's a really pretty song. I love the harmonica and the lyrics :)
4. B1A4 - Who Am I
I'm really in love with this youthful sound that comes from a lot of B1A4's music, it's energetic, but still has substance. This is a really fun song called "Who Am I", which is also the name of their album. This song makes me wanna play it really loud in the car and just jam to it while driving :P
5. B1A4 - 길 (Road)
This is another really cute and fun song from their album. I actually really do like the whole album, but these are just some of my favorites :P I also really recommend "Amazing", "Baby", "Seoul", and CNU's solo song "음악에 취해 (Drunk on Music). Omg. Hell, I recommend the whole album ok? xD
6. B.A.P - 1004 (Angel)
Omgah. Yes. I absolutely adore this song. I'm really happy that B.A.P won their first music show award on Show Champion with this. Hopefully that's the first of many for this song ^_^ Even though it was only on Show Champion, it's still a commendable feat *clap clap*
I've liked B.A.P since their debut too. Although I felt like none of their subsequent releases really topped their debut song "Warrior", I think 1004 really breaks that wall. I do like their tough and powerful concept/image, but this song is just too good to pass up.
I also like the songs "Spy", "Lovesick", "Save Me", "B.A.B.Y" and "With You" from their newest album, "First Sensibility".
7. Royal Pirates - Drawing the Line
Super fun and catchy song! Hope they release more music like this. I watched the Royal Pirates on the After School Club yesterday and they're seriously so much fun! It's always more fun when they don't have to go back and forth translating for non-English speaking guests ><
8. 박명수 & Primary - I Got C
Yeup. This song is a few months old, but I love it. After watching the Infinity Challenge episodes leading up to their music festival, I loved this song so much I didn't even care about all the plaigarism accusations/controversy surrounding the song. It's just too much fun to listen to to care about all that crap.
